The Perfect Play (Play-by-Play Series #1)

The Perfect Play - Jaci Burton I made it all the way through! As a rule, I very much dislike contemporary romance. The guys are usually too perfect, the storyline is usually too cheesy, and the women are usually insecure, petty, or just the opposite- the women are headstrong and "I-don't-need-a-man"-ish (yes I just made that up).Don't think this book broke that above-mentioned pattern. It didn't. Mick was perfect. Before everyone argues differently, being an alcoholic doesn't mean he is any less perfect. The guy even battles his alcoholism in a "perfect manner". bleh!. Tara was insecure, and drove me up the fricken wall! Overall, I disliked her. So, why did I finish this book? I liked the NFL touch. See my profile, if I'm not reading, I'm watching football. I couldn't resist this one!I can't forget the sex scenes. I want to, but I can't forget. The words "Mick, I'm going to come" are ringing over and over again in my head. Why the 3 out of 5 stars? I finished it. I liked it enough to finish it so that means 3 stars.
