I love animals and couldn't resist this book even though it is for "younger" readers. It was flat out adorable, very touching, and made me laugh, cry, and then laugh some more. King (the dog) is so perfect as a detective and the author did a great job keeping King a dog even though she was giving him a clearly human element in his detective skills (for example when a human mentions a period of time- "a week", King's first problem was figuring out how long a week is).I read it in one sitting and don't regret one minute of it.Overall- great job!
